They looked even cooler when they were originally part of a Hammond tone cabinet. I have a 6 foot tall Hammond cab from a church with 2 12" electromagnet speakers (both with cone damage that I need to have fixed), tube power amp, a vibrato unit like above and a 5 foot long spring reverb unit that had an oil filled transducer. It's been sitting in the same place in my basement for over ten years but it is nearing the top of my project list. The speakers fire upwards and the top 3 feet of the cab is sort of acting like a long port. They can sound cool when working, I fixed a few dozen over my long electronic career most had the reverb assy but not the vibrato.
But they do look cool and I think having them re-purposed in a new package set up for use with current equipment is a great idea.
