Not the first time that amp's been suggested to me, and it looks nice, but I'm holding out for a V-Champ reverb! The Vibro-Champ's trem is the reason to own one, IMO...but add in Fender amp reverb, actually in the amp's circuit, and you'd have a winner. Even a great reverb pedal or tank in the front end isn't quite the same.

Seems the cabinet is the largest expense. I'm wondering if it would be worthwhile to try and get an amp and repurpose the cab? Anyone know of any amp cabinet makes in the Bay Area? I thinking it might be possible to save by buying locally.
