I'm sure this person is a lovely human being, but man oh man... [emphasis mine]

https://www.kyekennedy.com/theory.htm

Tubes are thermionic valves. That is they get excited when they are hot. This is done by the filament which directly or indirectly heats the cathode. Lots of current but low voltage(about six volts). When the cathode gets excited it emits electrons (as men sometimes do). The electrons flow at a controlled rate; from the cathode to the plate...
What happens on the trip to the plate? They get bigger!

...

A man named Forrest introduced a third part called the grid, so that made a triode. A simple amplifier was born (a 12AX7 is a triode.) To make a tetrode a screen grid was added. The screen grid works like a screen door. Only instead of mosquitos, electrons are kept out. As a screen door keeps out the big bugs but lets in the gnats, so a screen grid lets the little electrons get through while blocking the bigger ones. This regulates or smooths out the flow of electrons.

Gotta keep those big electrons out of the signal path!

I know that many great players attribute their tone to the blocking of big electrons, but I take a contrary view, and argue that a mis of little electrons and bigger ones makes for a more — um — varied sound. With greater range. And superior dynamics. On account of the mix of electron sizes. 😉

Then there's this, from DigiTech's site:

After inventing looping nearly three decades ago, DigiTech’s JamMan Solo XT brings you the definitive stereo looping experience. Build up the energy in your performance and find new inspiration with virtually limitless loops. Seamless transitions between looped phrases make the JamMan Solo XT an invaluable tool for composing and performing.

Um, no: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loop_(music)

I mean, even if you correct for the grammatical error (the JamMan Solo XT didn't exist three decades ago), that claim isn't even close. I mean, three decades ago was the eighties. Looping is almost as old as magnetic tape. It was a well-established technique long before the Beatles popularized it in the mid/late ’60s.

Here's a nice one, offering quite a bit of info about tube amps, and some attitude:

https://lenardaudio.com/education/14_valve_amps_4.html

False statements are made to justify that this dramatic increase in distortion as being desirable and what musicians want, claiming this makes valve amps magical and warm. When musicians are given the opportunity to play through a valve amp that has a stable power supply and regulated screen Voltage he/she immediately recognises the superior performance and prefers it. Un-fortunately very few musicians get the chance to hear this comparison.

I also like the 'virtually limitless' oxymoron in that description Joe. Especially when you go over to the specs:

Store over 35 minutes of stereo, CD-Quality loops
