I'm just curious if theres a way to run or designate caps (assign) it to a particular pickup. Like I have a cheap Sterling SUB guitar...the humbucker I put in is a bit bright sounding. Id like to make it a little darker sounding and not affect the other single coils in the set.

Is there 2 tone pots on the guitar? One way is to lower the value of the one used for the humbucker , use a 250k pot there and/or change the value of the cap on the 500k pot normally standard is .022 going upwards makes it darker .033 or .047 etc. Here is a link to an old article Joe wrote https://www.seymourduncan.com/tonefiend/guitar/customize-your-caps/
