Because this is the this small stuff section.
I am a devoted user of DiMarzio Cliplock straps. However, I recently made a strap out of two wide leather belts I got from Salvation Army. Its so comfortable.
What straps do you guys use?

I love the guitar straps that feel like seat belt material. To me they do the best job of distributing guitar weight and avoiding gross sweat spots. After that, it's all about the visual style. My favorite is a polyester checkered-pattern strap by rock steady. Very secure tabs if you aren't one to use strap locks.

I use leather bass straps. Two to three inches wide, made of the heaviest gauge I can find. I use the rubber stopper from Grolsch beer bottles to hold it in place. I like the feel, and the extra weight distribution.
