This is my first attempt at making my own body, I traced a Strat style body I had and then did the more tele style upper by hand. The 2 strips are Wenge inlays and I am still thinking that I am going to try to use the same for binding, but I think that might be a little beyond my current skill level. Hopefully I can get back to working on this one soon.

Body is from a one piece mahogany blank with wenge inlays
Neck is from Ebay, angled paddle headstock with ebony fretboard

Ghost bridge and preamp, and I have a SD George Lynch Screamin' Demon and a Pearly Gates to throw in it.

I'm one of those people who love to tick off Telecaster purists that think that every Telecaster has to be an exact reproduction of the Broadcaster. A morphed Telestrat with a 3x3 headstock and double humbuckers... I love it!

I think everyone here at the Fiendforum can agree that we love crazy guitars.

Any progress on this project? Love to see/hear the results.

The next guitar I make may be something along these lines — or at least, some sort of bolt-on Fenderoid with Gibsonoid pickups. Maybe mini-humbuckers, since I've never had a guitar with those, and I love the idea of a brighter, tighter humbucker.

Sounds like you need to move into building pickups Joe , that is about the only way to really be exactly specific about the specs.

Sorry Joe, no progress yet, life interferes with my plans yet again.

Woo-hoo, I had a very productive weekend. By putting off all of the things I was supposed to do I have made some excellent progress on the guitar. 1 or 2 more coats of tung oil and then assembly, hopefully have some audio by early next week
