It’s an honor to be included with such stupendous guitars! Ha ha.

The guys over at the Guitarz blog would love this. Ha ha.

It’s funny that you chose the Batman guitar for the turkey photo, I just ordered & received a Seymour Duncan Distortion humbucker to drop into it rather than the terrible stock pickups.

Rock on, & good luck to my fellow contestants! \m/

Well, come on — what kind of blog would I be running here if I DIDN’T have a picture of a three-headed turkey playing a Batman guitar? I have standards, you know!

I hereby name him “Cerberus, the Darkmeat Knight”.

^^ We´re sorry, but the Spawn of Satan Worker´s Chapter 665 must decline the first part of that request for reasons of extreme similarity to our Mascot /Watchdog /Spokesdemon.

We can however offer you limited use of the terms “Fluffy”, “Fido”, “Bella”, and “Spot” for a small, non refundable fee. Let me just find my pen and you can sign up right here… 😀

“Your comment is awaiting moderation”…. Joe, you should know me better than that by now, I NEVER do anything in moderation 😀

You want a high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die?

Meet Trouble. Soul of a Telecaster… well, Keef’s Telecaster Custom. (Not Custom Telecaster – this is the one with the minihum in the neck.) Body of a Jazzmaster. Neck of a Strat. Bridge has a hot-wound pickup with P-Bass magnets stuffed through it.

Since I picked it up, I’ve added a bone nut, cross-drilled fake-locking tuners and a compensated bridge.

It wasn’t expensive, but if you’re calling for mutants, this one qualifies.

Man…I can’t wait until Sunday, when I get a chance to snap some photos of some of the weirder things lurking around here…

I’m really diggin’ the circuit board covered Explorer… and the glowing home-made guitar & amp that looks like an old radio.

That other amp-in-a-box looks really great for gigging out though!

I vote for Bertram’s mystery guitar! Ha ha.

Hi Scott — thanks for posting all that stuff! There’s more there than I can process, but I took the liberty of adding a few of my faves to the photo slideshow. (I’m not sure I care to speculate on what my choices reveal about my taste…).

Folks, Scott may well be the only person in the universe with at least five Gibson Corvus guitars. And he makes them sound pretty bitchin’! 🙂

So…here’s a pretty cool piece of kit that I sadly parted ways with last year. Also in the “unfortunate” category is that the hard drive with all of the good photos of it crashed recently, but I remembered this one was on the MySpace account I haven’t gotten around to deleting, so here you go…

’30s Regal “Le Domino” parlor guitar. The Cathedranola kinda reminded me of it- aside from the coverplate and mother of toiletseat, they’re probably similar: ’30s, black, probably plywood, a little difficult to play, sounds pretty cool in a husky sorta way. Given the time frame both were made and where, they could’ve come out of the same factory even.

The weirdo aspect of Le Dom is the dominoes- domino fret markers, dominoes on the body below the bridge, dominoes on the rosette. Looked like decals, definitely not real inlays, but pretty cool nonetheless. I’ve seen a few Le Doms, almost always tenor guitars, and most were beat to shit. This one was remarkably clean. Kinda miss it, but it found a very good home and was sold for a good cause, so there’s that.
